Software piracy:


  Because of the informatics development are the computer frauds a common phenomenon. Surely some of the computer users have been working for some time with the illegal software. Some of them have let their friends lend some software in spite of knowing, that they will use it or at least install. Computer fraud are disseminating and using of illegal software. It appears a lot because of technical possibilities and the prices of legal software, but it is not an excuse for doing that.
Computer fraud is copying, reproduction, using or production of licensed software without permission.
To the most known computer frauds form we can count:
- making of additional copies of bought software,
- installation of illegal software by selling computers,
- illegal copying and selling as original,
- frauds thru BBS,
- software lending without permission,
- selling and using inconsistently the license

Creating a software costs millions and making one copy is just a cost of a CD-R or DVD-R. This drives or internet hard drives are an ideal place to magazine the copied files. In internet are thousands of websites, which offer illegal software. Many of software are not protected from copying. Even if they are, a software cracked ones can be multiplied as much as the cracker wants.
Very dangerous is selling illegal software as legal. The client usually never finds out that he was cheated. They are selling it for similar price to the original.
It is often so, that by buying computer we get some extras too. Those extras are installed software, but mostly without license, DC or papers. A lot of clients think that they have got original software. They realize the truth, when they want to up-date their software or by police control. The most of the illegal software are copies from originals. Very often we can find a lot of different software on one CD or DVD. The cost on one program is very slow. If we buy such a thing we can be suspected to be a fencer. We can buy it via internet, on the computer exchange or dormitories.
