Industrial piracy:
Industrial frauds are a kind of intellectual ownership crime. There are in Poland two statutes that deal with this problem: Intellectual ownership law, Law about fight with unfair competition. So can we define industrial frauds that way:
Industrial frauds are production and putting of counterfeits into the market, and marking other goods with trade marks, stealing of patterns and production of goods that are under patent protection.
Today the assortment of the counterfeit is in almost every of live dimensions. We find the most counterfeits in:
-chemicals,
-foodstuffs,
-cigarettes, alcohols, coffee
-clothes and shoes,
-herbals and medicines - antibiotics and herbal teas
-books,
-electrical stuff, house stuff, toys,
-attested car replacements,
-car chemicals
How can we recognize the counterfeit?
-place of production - the Far East, but Poland too
-receiver - unauthorized distributors, unauthorized assistants,
-place of sale - bazaar, flea market, direct sale from the car
-receipt, warranty, price - no original documents, no size, color or pattern on the receipt. Price is 60 to 90% lower than by original product
-Quality of labels and packaging - bad quality, but it is getting better
-Quality of Materials - very bad
